Northerly Scholarship Concert

Please join us at the Teatro Zuccone in the Zeitgeist building on Thursday December 7th, 2023 for a very special night of music. Doors open at 6:00pm, with an afterparty in the bar starting around 9:00pm! The Northerly Scholarship was created to close the gap for folks of all walks of life looking to learn music in the Twin Ports. The scholarship will be used to supplement or completely fund a semester of lessons with the hopes to create greater equity in our region.

When you purchase your ticket, you are making an impact in our community. 100% of the proceeds from this event goes towards providing lessons for a multitude of instruments to all who seek it, and fosters the community driven ethos we strive to embody.

Dave Simonett has spent almost two decades as the lead singer, guitar player and songwriter for the widely popular and beloved roots band, Trampled By Turtles. He also fronts Dead Man Winter, a full-bodied, emotionally resonant brand of Americana-infused indie rock band. Join us for a special rare solo set at home in Duluth! Lanue and Ross Thorn are two prolific Duluth songwriters and will each be performing a set of their own to start the night. We are lucky to have all these amazing musicians under one roof!

The Northerly School for Music is a community-forward music hub that offers music education through one-on-one lessons, group workshops, and events. Our goal is to ensure that any one who seeks to learn music has access to our dedicated teaching staff and resources.
