In this intro to improv workshop, you will learn the basics of “yes, and”. Thinking on our feet, staying present, and active listening will be a few of the skills you pick up as well. This workshop is open to all levels of experience.
About the Instructor: Casey Martin is an improvisor, performer, and teacher from Duluth, Minnesota. She has been performing in the Twin Cities since 2010. Casey is a main stage performer at ComedySportz Twin Cities, and HUGE Theater. During her time performing, Casey realized how important and beneficial improv can be on and off the stage. She started teaching improv in 2014 and has had the privilege of teaching people the power of “yes, and”. The most important lessons Casey thinks you can learn from improv are: being present, being open to what is given to you, and being aware of what we are saying (verbally and non-verbally).
