Artist’s Statement:
A life of art.
The art of life.
My love of drawing and painting has been lifelong. I claim to be mostly self taught but the reality is I have been schooled and influenced by so many great artists; taking workshops and classes at the college and community levels. I work in watercolor, acrylic, gouache and oil. Viewers have shared they are drawn to my work by the use of color and whimsical perspectives of subject matter. Inspiration comes from my interpretation of interior and exterior experiences. Working from thumbnail sketches without a predetermined idea of what the finished painting will be excites me. I maintain membership in two watercolor societies along with being part of other art organizations.
